HPVS-400 Pore Fluid Transfer Cell

The GCTS HPVS-400 Pore Fluid Transfer Cell, when combined with the HPVC pressure intensifiers, are ideal for injection of corrosive fluids, such as brine, in various test applications (triaxial, permeability, hydro-fracture).


  • 140 MPa (20,000 psi) absolute pressure range.
  • 1,000 kPa (150 psi) differential pressure capacity.
  • For use with corrosive fluids (ie brine) in permeability and triaxial testing of rock specimens.
  • Works with GCTS HPVC pressure intensifiers.
  • Can be used as a volume change measurement device for triaxial and permeability testing.
  • 400 cc fluid reservoir with pressure/vent port for easy filling and draining cell and intensifier.
  • Larger pressure and volume stroke capacities also available.

GCTS HPVS-400 Pore Fluid Transfer Cell when used with HPVC pressure intensifiers are ideal for the control of the pore pressure in triaxial tests, head pressure in permeability tests, or fluid pressure in hydro-fracture tests when corrosive fluids, such as brine, are used as the pore fluid. Transfer cell has a 400 cc volume capacity with absolute pressure of 140 MPa and differential pressure across the rolling diaphragm of up to 1,000 kPa.
